It is getting better now, got a iMac

Great news, i have an iMac for my personal use. It is on mac os 9.2 which is a problem as i want to run openoffice on it so i can have everything i need on it. Does anyone have any ideas to sort this issue?

Yippe, some great news. I am getting a new pc. Apple iMac with version mac os 9.2/3.

It is a few years old, but it is all good.

I am annoyed now. I have so much hardware, my power supply unit cannot cope, and i have several issues, as there is 2 problems.

1. My pc is so old, i do not want to buy a better power sully unit

2. I cannot find out what my current power sully unit power is…

Woah, i am writing CDs from my 6 year old pc.

My pc specs are;

1. 0.4GHZ
2. 192mb RAM
3. XP Professional

I am burning a CD right now, and i am browsing the web. Slight lag, but not as bad as running an anti-virus scan or any other scans.

It is awesome, finally a way to backup my hard drive. It is so good, the feeling that you can backup your hard drive without uploading using the internet…

It did not cost that much, only £62 for 24 blank CDs and a CD re-writer. Nice one!

6 years and the pc decided to want to stop working

I have had some really annoying issues (probably caused by AOL).

Firstly, a USB ports stops working

Secondly, my pc has randomly rebooted 3 times in 2 days

Finally, the USB ADSL (provided by AOL) has crashed 4 times in 2 days.

I have tryed to count the amount of times i have rebooted, and i counted 12.

I got my PC december 1999, which proves that it is very old.

Hate is a powerful word, but I admit I hate aol, and I wish i could get ihateaol.com

My powerful ‘i hate aol’ words.

Finally, i have had enough, months and months of issue after issue, i had a row with my mum.

‘AOL is the worst fucking software ever in the world, hate is a strong word, and i f-in hate AOL’

I said 30 seconds later

‘You have until 27th November to cancel AOL, or i will do it myself, because i am so fucking sick of this, i have work to do and i cannot do it, and it is all AOLs fault.’

I had a chat to my ICT teacher.

He asked me ‘What Internet Service Provider do you have?’

I replyed ‘AOL’

He replyed saying ‘That is a nasty, nasty company.’

Here is a list of problems i have had when i use AOL.

• Constant disconnections
• Accused of mass mailing
• My account was hacked 3 times.
• AOLs technical support number was no longer free
• Too much software for my pc to handle
• Pc randomly restarts
• Dynamic IP address (shared and half of the stuff i go is banned, like wikipedia)
• Irritating messages. (AOL SpyZapper e.t.c)
• Lack of OS’s which work with AOL
• Support is in india, and i cannot understand anything they tell me
• Costs £17.99 a month – waste of money in my opinion
• Mess’s with my pc – cannot restart when AOL crashes and i have to forcefully edit it
• Uninstall takes 40 mins to instalize, and then 20 mins to uninstall. That is per version installed

I have decided my new ISP, the lowest package is what i have chosen, i can host MY websites on MY computer.

Hopefully more luck with this company, if a ICT teacher uses it, i am 99% sure that it is good for me as well.

Some advise, do not ever use AOL, AOL is the worst software. I honestly wish i connected to the internet with a different ISP. I would have brought ihateaol.com and i would have used it. Now it is for sale for over $80,000…
